Pre Easter Weekend

I LOVE April.
Seriously.
It is such a great month.

Last Wednesday, Mr. H's mom and a friend always throw a Easter egg hunt for all the small children in their neighborhood.
C and I were able to go and it was so cute.  It took him a while to figure out that picking up the Easter eggs was supposed to be fun, but once he figured out there were treasures inside, he was hooked.
Thanks Grandma T!

He was so fascinated that there were treats inside

We were also able to go and visit my Uncle J on Friday.  We discovered that C is afraid of dogs.  But we also discovered he could be entertained for 3 + hours with plastic cups and cupboard doors.

Friday night was Mr. H's senior symposium.  It was basically a really really smart science fair.  It was fun to hear him present his work.  He's ALMOST done!

action shot!

Saturday we got to do another Easter egg hunt with our little court.  C was a lot better at it and found his eggs no problem.

My friend K came up from Provo and we visited the Cathedral of the Madeline.  We had such a good time together.  She is such a great friend to me.

So happy to be playing with a tree. :)

We also got to celebrate something wonderful.  Three years ago, Mr. H was diagnosed with a rare cancer, called synovial sarcoma on his larynx.  There have been so many miracles surrounding this event, and we got to celebrate being 3 years cancer free.  We ate a Crown Burger, which is the first meal Mr. H got to eat after his feeding tube was removed.  I am so so so grateful to God for helping our family and providing so many miracles.

Saturday night was filled with cinnamon roll baking, dying Easter eggs and preparing Easter talks.

What a great week!

late night talks

C and I are sick.

He's sicker than me, but we're both sick sick.
Luckily Mr. H came home last night a little early and saved us both.

The olympics started!  The team ice skating was last night and in all my sick glory, I felt my heart get bigger as I watched the beautiful performances.

We have good news in our house!!!  We are either going to be living in Philadelphia, PA or Boston, MA for the next little while.  SO EXCITED!!!!!

So I've been of course researching my little heart out.

Last nights conversation:
Mr. H "I'm thinking we should get rid of our car when we move."
me: "WHAT??!!!!" No way!"
Mr. H "It just doesn't make sense financially to keep it when we'll live in a city with awesome transportation."
me: "How will I go grocery shopping with kids???  how will we go places?"
Mr. H "I don't know....you could take a stroller?"
I knew I had to talk some sense in him: "How would we go CAMPING?"
pause
Mr. H "You know, you have a point there."

My friend K and my mom came over and hung out for awhile yesterday.  It was a blast.  Those two are funny: I think my favorite line of our conversation:
my mom "K, do you not like Mitt Romney?"
pause, K "I'm like GO HILARY CLINTON!"
:)

Anyway, we're getting so excited.
So here's to a long, great weekend in which we can feel better and keep dreaming. :)
